NEW YORK, 08 DIC - "Mentre gli Stati Uniti sostengono fermamente una pace duratura, in cui sia israeliani che palestinesi possano vivere in pace e sicurezza, non sosteniamo le richieste per un cessate il fuoco immediato". Lo ha detto l'ambasciatore americano all'Onu Robert Wood durante la riunione del Consiglio di Sicurezza, assicurando che gli Usa faranno "il possibile per liberare tutti gli altri ostaggi". "Ciò non farebbe altro che gettare i semi per la prossima guerra, perché Hamas non ha alcun desiderio di vedere una pace duratura e una soluzione a due Stati", ha aggiunto. (ANSA).
